Hi and welcome. I started ttc and charting after coming off BC both times with my pregnancies. Have you had a post BC AF yet? If so this would be your cycle day one. If not I would wait until the first day of your first AF to start charting.
most people here use fertilityfriend.com for charting. There are a ton of useful FaQs there to read up on.
Essentially get a digital thermometer that reads to 1 decimal place. it can be a BBT (basel body temperature) one but dosent have to be. Take your temperature at the same time every morning (even weekends) before getting out of bed, so set your alarm for say 7am. record your temp every day.
Ideally you should get 3 straight hours of sleep before temping and try to do the same time every day. if you are early or late just record the actual time you took it, and if you were up before 7 mark sleep deprived.
your chart will be able to hopefully confirmed that you ovulated not tell you when, so If you dont already know how long your cycles are and how long your luteal phase is (the time from you ovualting to AF) you should watch your CM too
