I went to hop out of bed to pee this morning (I'm dealing with a kidney stone), I oncovered, went to sit up and realized I'd been in bed 3 hours (first time since midnight) and I should take my temp. i usually take it around 8 or 9am and it was 8:50. So I quickly covered up, and grabbed the thermoter.

Well my temp registered in at 96.96... which is way low compared to where it was yesterday.

Would this be caused by my 15 seconds of being uncovered in the AC? Or should my temp drop after AF disappears. Today is CD8 and she only disappeared yesterday.

here's my chart, this is my first month doing this, so I'm not quite sure what is normal or not.

the first few days were taking with a different thermometer, one that we now know is definitely NOT working properly. lol

I would ignore all days with the other therm, and those few seconds shouldn't have had that much of an effect on your temp.

Don't worry too much about individual temps. Keep charting and eventually you should see a pattern emerge after ovulation.

Your temps won't tell you when you're fertile anyway, they only confirm ovulation after it happens. Pay attention to your cervical mucus, that's the early warning of fertility.

yeah I wasn't paying much attention. It also could be a fever from having the kidney stone, I've had one on and off, usually in the evenings since they found the stone almost a month ago. But the first day with the BBT and it showed a 2 degree difference over the other thermometer and I used them at the same time.

I didn't think that it should affect it that fast... just seems to be a bit low and I was worried I'd messed up.

Thanks Liz

i'm watching my CM, but not at the same time I'm temping... hope that's not causing problems. I usually have some discharge in the AM from DTD.

I totally agree with this. Good luck. Once you get in a routine with temping, the patterns will become clear.
