I'm Sharron, 36, trying to conceive baby # 2, my first with my current partner. He lives away at university so I wasn't going to chart, since I'm not always going to be able to BD at the best times, but I've worked out that CD13/14 - right about when I'm likely to be Oing - falls on a weekend this month so have decided to try charting while there's actually a point.

I've read the fertility charting school stuff and it's answered my questions up to now - I've ordered a BBT thermometer which should arrive tomorrow. Now to try and sort out a way to stay with DP all weekend in 2 week's time - I normally have to come home Saturday night for Daniel when I stay with DP and he's not able to stay with me that weekend! Life is full of complications!

I'm on CD1 by the way!

Good luck with everything, Sharron! If you have any specific questions as you get started charting, just ask away.

Thanks so much!

I got my BBT thermometer so, temping from tomorrow. I'm hoping that finding out exactly when I O'd this month will help me in future months if I don't get a BFP. Given my longer cycle last month I figure I'd better check when it is I'm O'ing.

Charting your BBT will give you such peace of mind. If it wasn't for charting, I never would have discovered that I O very late in my cycle. Can't wait to stalk your chart.
