Hey ladies!

So I take my temp at the same time every morning, and for the past five days, I have gotten 97.8 as my BBT. What the heck? I after the third day, I took it again right after to make sure it wasn't broken and I got the same temp again. Later on in the day, I took my temp again and it was completely different at 96.7, so I assumed that meant the thermometer was working fine. However, for the next two days I've gotten 97.8 again. That is five days! Does it sound like my thermometer is broken, or is it really this likely to get the same temp so many days in a row?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I usually have pretty consistent temps (this chart is weird because it's post-m/c). And I've used two different thermometers. It's typically not unusual for me (depending on where I am in my cycle) to have the same temp for 3 days in a row, maybe .1 degree off the next day, and then the same temp for another couple days. It's unusual, but not necessarily out of the question.

Is your BBT thermometer old?

That's the thing, my BBT thermometer is pretty new! I just got it in August when I started temping. It's a good quality one too, so I am really confused if it is broken, although I am sure that I not really out of the question. I am just coming off the bcp (in late August) so I am not sure if that could have something to do with my temps being weird. Normally they are up and down since it seems that I have been anovulatory.

I suppose I could start temping vaginally to see if that helps?

Thanks for your help!

If it seems you were anovulatory, maybe you're just now starting to regulate. How exciting! I wish you luck.

its not common but its not bad. as long as it can give you a different temp at another time of the day I would stick with it hum

I agree. If you took your temp in the middle of the day and it gave you the same temp, then I'd say it's broken, but since it's different, I'd say it's just fine. I've had that happen to me before too and it does make you second guess everything. I'm so glad your cycle is regulating!! Good luck!!

They've still been kind of weird sticking with the same temp for several days in a row. Like I'll have 97.6 several days and then up to 97.7 and now to 97.9. It's weird that they stay the same for several days in a row, but at least now I know my thermometer isn't broken! lol. I am hoping them staying the same several days in a row means it is starting to regulate. I am on CD69 and going crazy that I still haven't had AF yet!

Here is my FF chart. On CD70 today. Getting really frustrated, but my gyno won't see me until it has been 90 days w/o AF.

Your gyno is cruel.

With all of your fertile CM, it's like your body wants to ovulate but is just stuck.

Sorry. This must be so frustrating. I'll be hoping for a good result for you soon.

Thanks

That is what I am thinking too. I even had full-blown positive OPKs a few weeks ago, but no temperature reflection, so it's like my body gears up to ovulate, but fails to actually release that egg.

My gyno is a jerk, so I've been looking around for someone else to see. I went to him about three weeks ago because I am pretty sure I have PCOS. He refused to even check me out, get any work done or anything. He basically looked at me like, 'what are you doing here?'

Ugh.

Thanks again!
