On Tuesday I had my IUD removed. I started charting again for the first time in 10 years on Wednesday morning day 4 of my cycle. My two temps so far are 98.63 and 98.6

I have a hard time sleeping lately and am wondering if this is why I had high temps. From what I remember temps would usually be 97. something. Would my tossing and turning at night cause my high temp? I purchased a BBT from Walgreens for 10 dollars, it is digital, beeps and has a memory.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That temp does seem high for follicular phase temps; however, since you just had the IUD removed, I imagine your temps could be out of whack for a while. You'll really need to keep temping for a while before you can tell what's normal and abnormal for you. Yes, the tossing can turning can impact your temp, but only time will tell for sure.

I imagine your Walgreens BBT thermometer is just fine. Mine was under $10 and it does just what I need it to.

I totally agree with everything Adrienne said. I'd give it some time and see what pattern your temps show. They do seem high right now, but the restless sleep and recent IUD removal could very well have an effect.

Thanks ladies. I saw some bad reviews on here with the Walgreens Thermometer. I woke up at 3am this morning and decided to temp since it was my first wake up. it was 97.86 then. I may have to try and take it when I first wake in the middle of the night.

I will definitely keep an eye. Thanks a bunch.

night waking shouldnt be an issue IF you roll over and go back to sleep. getting up getting a drink and peeing messes things up but I wouldnt make myself wake at 3 something every day.

Consistency is important too. if you toss and turn every night and take your temp at 6am every morning then the temps should all be in line with eachother
