Okay so normally I am regular until I started temping... so my body geared up multiple times this past month to ovulate but never did (I was under a lot of stress with my teaching exams and Christmas). Well I finally got my temp rise but I have had over a week of positive OPK's. They went from just positive (a tad darker then the control line) to blaring (way darker then the control line) back to just positive and now they are blaring again! WTH is going on?!?! So I'm turning to you ladies for help!!

I should add that I've been using OPK's at 10:30 AM and 8:00 PM

Have you used a hpt? That many +opk's might mean you are actually pregnant and have been for at least a week. GL! I hope you do see 2 lines!

*OPK's have been used as pregnancy tests because hcg looks the same as LH to opk's

I tested this morning but it wasn't FMU and it was a BFN but I'm only 7 DPO according to my BBT rise so it prob wouldn't show yet.. I'll give it a couple more days and test with my FMU.. keeping fingers crossed you're right!

The reason I was doing OPK's everyday was so I could try to get a pattern going for a gender sway but that doesn't look like it's going to happen Then when I started getting all of these positive opk's I thought something might be wrong with my hormones

That's a lot of days with + opks! I'm not exactly sure but I know there have been some cases like this with some women on the TTC board and it ended up being PCOS. I don't want to worry you or anything. And your chart does look like you ovulated so I'm sure you are fine. According to the Pee on a Stick website:

"What if my OPK is positive almost all the time? The most common cause of constant positive or almost-positive OPK's is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS.) This disorder is usually characterized by elevated LH (hence the positive OPK's), and is common in women with very long and/or anovulatory cycles.

Don't self-diagnose, though! If you're worried (or just plain obsessed with your pee-sticks call your doct-- okay, okay, you know the drill "

Thanks for the info! I will chart a couple more cycles and see if I can get a pattern with just my BBT rise and if they still seem messed up then I will call the doc! Thanks!!

Are long cycles with long patches of CM normal for you? As has been said, it could be PCOS. That would also explain the constant positive OPKs. I'd talk to your OBGYN about it.

No they aren't.. I usually have pretty regular cycles (28-30) days.. I have never had a cycle like this.. so I was just chalking it up to stress unless I continue to get them

Oh yes, stress can CERTAINLY cause a cycle like the one you are having! Your chart looks really good now though
