Hi all! This is the first month I have decided to use opks and it has left me a little confused already lol. I used the first opk the evening of CD 10 and had an obvious negative. Used the next one on the evening of CD 11 and another obvious negative. Pretty much the same color as the day before. On the morning of CD 12, BAM, dark positive. Test line was darker than the control line. This morning on Cd 13 I decided to test again and its back to the same light negatives I hd on CD 10-11. Took another one a few minutes ago and it looks just like the one from this morning. Basically I guess I have two questions:
1) Is that normal to go from such a light line to such a dark line and then back to a really light line again? I guess I assumed they would gradually get darker then lighter..
And 2) I thought I was supposed to have to days of positive tests, not just one?
If someone could give me the lowdown on how these normally progress or could re-educate me I would greatly appreciate it.
I started to use OPK's this month as well since I have a 33-35 day cycle. I started using them outside of when the calendar suggested I'd be fertile (says I'll O on CD20) because of a change in my CM. On CD14 & 15 I had obvious negatives and this morning on CD16 the line was about 75% dark. Does it have to be exactly the same color? I'll test again when I get home but it seems all signs are pointing to me O'ing.
