Hello ladies. I am so new at this and was hoping someone could answer a question for me. My hubby and I have been trying for #2 for 6 months now. Our son is almost 6 and I had no problems conceiving him. I have done no charting or anything like that, but this last cycle my OB started me on Femara. She said to get a ovulation test and start on day 10 of my cycle. Well, I bought it on day 8 so being impatient, I started it early. It is one of those tests that gives you a smiley face, not lines so there is no way I mis-read it. Well on day 8, 2 days beofre she even wanted me to start testing, I got the smiley face positive. It has been negative every day since. Is it possible that I ovulated early? SHould I keep testing everyday? Thanks for your help!!!

Wow you might be ovulating early! I would keep testing just to get a feel for what is going on during your cycle. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the advice. I guess I will keep using the tests. So it is possible to ovulate really early I guess? I don't think the Femara interferes with the ovulation test. This is all so confusing! And my OB said nothing about taking temps or anything like that!

Ovulation can occur as early as day 5 during the menstrual cycle. The timing of ovulation from past cycles doesn't determine when ovulation will occur in future cycles. Every cycle is unique!
