My husband and I are going to start TTC this month (period started yesterday) and I want to start charting. I bought a BBT. Should I take my numbers vaginally or with saliva? Also, what is the best time to take your temperature? When do you start a new chart? Day 1 of your period? Sorry if you guys have already answered these questions a million times!!!

There are lots of different charts to choose from, because different women have different preferences. Vaginal temps tend to be more accurate, but if you don't like that idea - oral temps are fine too. Temperatures will only tell that ovulation has happened after it's already over, so tracking cervical mucus is very important. That tells you when you're fertile, as it happens!
