So I charted regularly for the 3-ish months it took to conceive my daughter, who is now 2. I got my IUD out last August because we were thinking of ttc #2. We used pull n pray for a few months, then started trying in November. Got preggo the first month (no charting required.) Sadly, at the first dr's appointment, there was no heart beat, and the fetus stopped developing at 8 weeks (should have been 10 weeks). Anyway, I had a d&c performed at the end of January.
Had three BEAUTIFUL, normal cycles. First one was exactly 30 days after the d&c. I have ALWAYS been regular, like clockwork, except no period when I was nursing, but other than that 30-32 day cycles, EVERY month.
The next period was 3 days late, lasted 9 days (4-5 is normal for me) and was a lot of brown blood. That makes this cycle 35 days, a few days beyond normal. (This was month 4 after my d&c)
The period after that was a 25 day cycle. This period was a lot of bright red blood, and lasted 11 days!!!!! Toward the end of the obnoxious bleeding, I started taking OPK's. Realized after I took them I was probably taking them too soon, and bought another week's supply. Negative, negative, negative. I started bleeding right when I should have been ovulating. It was somewhere between spotting and light bleeding, bright red again, and went away after 4-5 days. When I ran out of my opk's I started temping again and here we are.
I realize that it is better to start charting at the beginning of the cycle, but I was sick of spending 25 bucks a week on negative opk's.
My post-o temps are almost ALWAYS in the high 98's. The higher ones on this chart are lower than my normal high. But still higher that the others I was taking sporatically.
Still no sign of AF. Pregnancy test negative, I thought it would be since if there was an O in there it would have been on CD 27 ish.
Can you take a look and tell me what you think? If you read this, THANK YOU!! I am so frustrated and sad at the same time. It's like insult to injury after the miscarriage. I already had blood drawn because I told my OB's office I hadn't ovulated. Prolactin and Thyroid came back normal. Sigh!!
I'm so sorry, there just isn't enough data to say for sure what's going on.
Did you happen to ask what your TSH was? TSH levels up to 5 are considered "normal," but many fertility and thyroid specialists feel that the range of normal is too broad...that women in their reproductive years function better with a TSH under 2.5.
Also, which IUD did you have? Hormonal or non-hormonal? Which IUD it was effects how long it can take for the reproductive system to fully recover.
