Should I be taking my temp in the same ear every day? This morning I took my temp and thought it was extremely low, so I tried my other ear and there was .5 degrees difference from ear to ear! Is this normal?

um i am pretty sure that you arent supposed to use your ear temp. Its not percise enough. The only approved methods are mouth and vaginal...

that said it is also not recommended to change methods part way through a cycle

huh! I had thought ear temping would be more accurate since that is what doctors use, weird. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

doctors use it because its quick and not invasive. if they really need to know exact temps they have to use another method but it works to determine if there is a fever
