I've been posting in TTC but thought I'd post here for this question. I just bought my bbt. I was going to start temping in the morning. Of course I had to try it out first, and already I'm confused! It said 96.78, but this is with me running around and being up for several hours now. So if my temp rises during the day, how low is it going to go at night? How do I chart that low, if 96.7 is the lowest temp on the chart? Or is the thermometer wrong?
Any help appreciated! Thank You!

which chart are you using? 96.7 shouldnt be the lowest temp on chart. You manually put your temp in and the chart adjusts to whatever your temp is. You temp is fine. BBTs are a lot diff than a regular fever therm that you are used to.
The value of your temp doesn't really matter, the trend during the cycle is important. Remember to take your temp every day in the morning, at the same time, after at least 4 hours of sleep. Don't do anything before taking your temp - this is very important. I've already tried many charting sites and now I'm using ovufriend (OvuFriend - Increase Your Chances of Conception!) - it's still in beta stage, so it's for free it's very easy to use and seems more accurate than other. Good luck hun!
