What does the man in your life think of charting? I think Jon thinks it is silly. He calls it my pipe. I am neurotic so I still take my temp sometimes, and when I do, Jon says "is that your pipe?"

he doesn't give two HOOTS about it. i told him charting will help figure out when i'm ovulating so we have a better chance of making a child, and he said "okay hunny", and left it like that. last month i showed him how my charts were looking and he was like "that's nice" in a blah man tone. so whatever, i LIKE charting

I laughed out loud when I read your post. My DH is really supportive. He asks me every day what my temp is and what it means. I don't think he really understands the process, though!

Well, we use Natural Family Planning for trying to concieve and for trying to avoid - so charting is something we learned together before we got married. He understands it all very well because his job is to write down my observations at the end of the day.

Well, he is interested, because he kept asking me if my temp went up the past few days.
But then today he said I was too obsessive.
So who knows!

My DH is very supportive. He says it's a very "me" thing - I love data and charts and statistics so all this is very up my alley. He learned a long time ago to put up with my little quirks and obsessions. And since he wants a baby very badly, he'll do anything to help our chances! He makes a point to ask me how my chart is, to look it over and try to be supportive and helpful (even though I know he doesn't really get it, lol).

Wow, that is great that your hubby is so supportive!! I can tell you like graphs! I saw the weight graph on your FF homepage. Very cool!

dh gets grouchy if I make a big deal about it. The other morning he was trying to hit the snooze button and I asked him to give me my thermometer by the clock. When I made a big deal he got sort of groucy about it. He doesn't get the whole timing thing. He just thinks oh well, take your temp later.

But other than that he is pretty cool about me charting.

I read this post and just had to laugh because my DH says the same thing. It's a "me" thing...something that "I" would do!! Because, I too like charts and graphs to look at and use. He tries to understand but just lets me do "my thing".
