I'm new like you, so hopefully someone can give you much more information and more detailed info. But, you can use fertility friend and put in your data and then do the chart for you. You have to log on to use it. Some of the stuff is free and some of it requires a VIP membership (I think you get a short trial of VIP membership when you first log on). On fertility friend, you can add other info. like cervix position, cervical fluid, OPK readings, etc. FF does an analysis for you. There are other sites as well where you can download, although I'm not sure. I made myself an excel chart and then I use the one on fertility friend. You have to take your temp. everyday at around the same time with, I believe, at least 3 hours of sleep. So, if you work the same shifts all the time and your sleeping pattern is the same, then you should take it right when you wake up, before you doing anything. I believe fertility friend has some information about when to take temps. when your schedule is not typical.
As someone who just went off BC about 2 months ago, just want to tell you that my temps. were crazy (up and down) the first month and better last month. So, it might take some time for your body to adjust.

I would say you would just try and keep your temping time as consistant as possible. I am not sure how 3rd shift would effect you temps. I would think you could still see a thermal shift though.
