Hi there! I saw your post about using the ferning monitor. Do you like using it? I've only known a few people to use it so I'd be curious to get your opinion of it.

Actually, I really do like it. I got it at Walmart for around $20, and I just saw one in the Dollar Tree yesterday for $1(different brand though).

I was really skeptical of it, but it seems to work really well. I lick the scope every morning when I temp, and I never saw any ferns until 3-4 days ago when I started getting EWCM and other signs of approaching ovulation. They are definately there now.

It's a simple cheap way to check, way easier than OPK's, although you don't get as specific an answer. But I like it.


ETA: I don't think I'd use it alone to TTC, sometimes the ferns are hard to see and you could miss a day to TTC. But a great secondary device in my opinion.
