Well i was playing around with a EDD, just in case i conceived this cycle. I found a site, where i can calculate from LMP, or my O date. I tried both! Wow!!!!! No wonder so many women go "overdue"!!!!!!!!! If I went by my LMP.....EDD would be June 20. But by going by my O date.......EDD jumps to July 10!!!!! That is a humungous (sp??) difference!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! Just thought i would share how important charting is overall!!!!

When u get your bfp this cycle your doc will go by your LMP for your initial due date. Then when u go for your first sono it'll change to that due date (if it's 3-4 days different). When i was pg with DS, my initial due date was oct 27, by my first sono at 10 wks I got a due date of Oct 23, guess when Ds was born? Oct 27! So officially he was 4 days overdue, but not really! lol

Yep, most doctors will change your due date if your u/s is off by 10 days either direction.

Very interesting! I noticed that too. When FF gives you your EDD, it goes by O date.

Seems to me that going by the O date is much more accurate.....since you can't get pregnant any sooner then that. I think that if i get my BFP this cycle, then i will go by July 10 as my EDD; it just makes a lot more sense.

When I was pg with DD her due date was New Years Day and then after a sonogram they changed it to December 26th...she was born December 10th...7lbs 3oz. 20inches long. My doctor said after she was born...wow we must have miscalculated that one!

Hey thats not fair!! When pregnant with DD my doc said my due date was Oct 10th!! I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and she measured like 1 week older than the due date. Then at 18 weeks preggo my ultrasound she measured 2 weeks older and still never chanded anything!! My doctor never changed my due date and DD was born Oct 20th!! I was ALMOST 2 WEEKS OVER DUE AND MISERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! She weighed 9 lbs 2oz!! I think my DD should have been changed to something around the 20th. Then maybe I wouldnt have felt so bad!!! People started asking me if I was having mulitibles, I was HUGE!!!! I'm on 5 foot 1!!! I am way off subject! Sorry!
