I have been using OPK and got a postive on the 14th and 15th of this month. I counted the 15th as my 1dop which would make me 10 dpo today. However, I took a hpt this morning and got a bfn. I was reading the instructions on the OPK and it was saying that you ovulate 24-48 hours AFTER the LH surge. Does this mean I am really only 8 or 9 dpo and there is still hope for me getting a BFP??!!??

Yes, that is exactly what that means! I think a lot of people make that mistake when they first start using OPKs. The other thing is that even if you were 10dpo that is still really early and a lot of people don't get positives that early. Charting can really help you pinpoint your exact O date even more. Hopefully, you will get a BFP in a few more days, but if you don't we would love to have you join us over here!

teresa is right...you o after the surge.... and it can be 1 day to 3 days later than the pos opk.....I hope you get your BFP!!!! But if not you should heck out the getting started sticky at the top and give charting a try..then you would know exactly what day you ovulated on
