Okay so I didn't really get to temp this morning because I didn't know that AF was going to show up. Usually once I start spotting it takes a few days for AF to show up. Last night I went to bed with a tampon in (sorry if tmi). When I woke up this morning I didn't realize I had started AF since I was wearing a tampon. I had to get the kids off to school and when I used the restroom (by this point it was like 8:30 and I had been awake and walking around for a while) I noticed that AF has started in full force. Is the first day a big deal? Now that I know AF is here I can start temping before I get out of bed.

Nah, you'll be fine. Just start temping tomorrow. Start you chart as today being CD1 though. A lot of women don't temp during AF. I do because I don't want to get out of the habit of the same time every morning. Hope this helps.

I agree......just start tomorrow. A lot of women don't even chart throughout their period because the temps can be so erratic. So starting tomorrow will get you in the habbit!

I was told to start temping at day 5, so you miss the full force of AF, but i don't temp orally though, so it wouldn't really matter if you did
xx

its not that important to have the temp for cd1 however just make sure that you enter today as cd1 on your chart kwim....some girls temp during af ad some dont, its a personal choice,,,,really the only person that it could affect is early ovulators.....
