I have heard of some women using normal thermometers to temp -- does it make a difference or should you use a BBT???

I use a regular oral one that I got at Walgreens. It did just fine with my last chart.

You can use a regular thermometer if you want. A BBT would be better, but you can get by with a regular thermometer.

I started with a regular digital, but changed it over to a BBT after a few days to get more accurate temps...my temps now read to the hundreth instead of the tenth. I like the basal body ones better, but that's just me.

I use a BBT thermo but what I find frustrating is how long it takes to give me a reading.
