My niece and I are very close. She in about 29 years with 4 children and is taking care of 3 children from her fiancé because the mother just skipped town without telling anyone, just left the kid alone in the house. So she has a hand full.

Earlier this year she was taking about having her tubes reconnected before the children' mother skipped.

I asked her if she would have a baby for me and dh and she absolutely, no problem unless they can't reverse.

You know what the best part is I absolutely love my niece: she looks like me, she acts like me. Everyone says that she is me. Years ago when she was in her early teens she named us "Bebonded". So that is what she calls me and I her. I would love to my Bebonded's baby and my dh. Two people I really love.

Another question is how much to reverse?

Thank you for listening. I am so excited.

Ok darling I just MAY make your day!!!!!

IF the lab can fertilize YOUR EGGS with YOUR HUSBANDS SPERM.....THEN YOUR NIECE DOES NOT NEED A REVERSAL!!!!!!!!!

see only the uterus is needed to maintain a pregnancy and if they do invitro then she can leave her tubes just the way they are....

Now if you are using her eggs then yeah the tubes need to come undone (i think) ...and tootienkyle (Denise) has had a reversal and she would know way more about the costs and such kwim

GOOD LUCK HON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I responded to your post on the ttc large families board!

Sandymal had hit the nail right on the head! If you plan on using your eggs and his sperm....you can just have the ivf...her tubes do not need reversed to carry the baby!!!! But feel free to email me or pm me anytime about it! Our cost was a little under $9,000 total.

*and if you are wanting to use her eggs and his sperm...then they can still retrieve her eggs...fertilize them...and put them back without the tubes being reversed* the only time your tubes would need to be reversed is if you plan on doing the deed the au natural way! the actual bding! how did you plan on her getting pregnant if you dont mind us asking???

i was thinking that but i wasnt sure... i guess i didnt realize they could retrieve from the ovary, i thought that they would have to do IuI or grab the eggies from the tubes after they released .....

YAY Denise that makes it even better for her......and I learned something

We were planning on doing the wat Lilah (remember her). She brought her sperm fom a sperm back. So we are planning on the clinical thing the sperms and inject in the right place and moment.

I can't be the carrier because I have 100s of health problems so far: high blood pressure (gone down a lot since treatment another diseases) hypothyroidism, anemia (mild), narcolepsy with mild cataplesly?, absense seizes. That's all I know of so far.

Since 1992, when the doctors started with a BIG high blood pressure problem (228 over 132). No drugs work until about 2 years. (Inbetween each cure I will get an extreme bouts of fatigue.) Then came the hypothyroidism. Cured. PCOS. Cured. Anemia. Cured. Narcolepsy. Couldn't cure. Available meds can help (not many) some people semi-functional, but not for me. Treatment brought on seizes.

I know you are wondering why a baby, because both dh (tumor not operative (mimicing CP) and I am on disability

ahh i remember lilah..... you know though it may be cheaper in the long run to just do invitro using donor sperm and retrieving her eggs without the reversal....see even if she gets a reversal she may not go back to o'ing for a long time kwim

lol...not an egg retrivial for you, for her.....Denise mentioned that they can retrieve her eggs without undoing her tubes....im just thinking that if she gets the reversal it can take a while to go back to normal and her tubes may be scarred kwim.....so i was saying do invitro using donor sperm and retrieve her eggs kwim

I'm lost...I don't remember this Lilah... I say IVF though... I'm not having the easiest time getting pregnant after my tubal reversal...I am older though (34)...it is very frustrating...and tests that need to be done to find out if my tubes remained open are expensive. I am wishing that I would have just had the IVF now, but its too late... Its a gamble either way...you just need to figure out what is best for your situation...go talk to doctors and dont let them rush you around..take your time and think about it thoroughly! Best of luck to you!
