I don't get O pain myself so I am not much help on this one. Not everyone does, but it certainly sounds like it could be O pain.

I'm no help here, as I've never had O pain, but I'm sure there are a bunch of ladies here who may. Hope you are able to figure it out!

I don't get O pains every cycle but when I do they are excurciating! I thought the same thing as you do. I addressed it to my dr. and when he did a vaginal ultrasound there were no cyst. So its very possible to have horrible O pains, your lucky if they only last for 5 minutes. Mine tend to last for a few hours and its so bad I have to stay standing, I can't even bend over or sit. I try to rest on my side to relieve some of the pain and pressure.

Well what you decribe is exactly what it is....See as the egg matures it builds up inside the follicle and grows until it is the right size and mature enough to come out....when you ovulate the egg literally BURSTS out of the follicle just like a cyst rupturing, so that makes totaly sense that it would feel that way....also some women have more painful ovulation than other women and you just may be one of the ones who can really feel it

My oing pains last pretty much all day and its on either one side or the other. Its a dull throbbing that just keeps going on.

It sorta is like chicken pecking in a way.
