A friend of mine got a peak on her moniter but she got a temp spike not dip. I know that you usually get 2 peaks and a high after, but has anyone heard of a temp spike at ovulation not dip?

I am confused. First not everyone gets a dip and you should be looking for a temp rise at ovulation. A lot of people get a dip before they ovulate, but not everyone does. I am not sure why she got a peak though. You should get the peak on your monitor before you ovulate. I think she'll have to just chart a few more temps to really tell what is going on. She might have a dip and then another rise. Hard to really say for sure.

Yeah that is what I told her, we are on the same cycle. Both of us got a peak this am on the moniter. But her temp went up a LOT this am, and mine dipped. I told her that you have 2 peaks days so it may go down tomorrow. I was just curious because she is flipping out.

Textbook cycles, you have a temp dip the day of O, and the day after your temp goes up cuz you have ovulated.

You don't always have to have that temp dip though for O. Thats just "textbook"

I know for me I do not follow the textbook at all.

I tend to O, CM oing pains and all that, and then don't get a temp rise for a few days after that.

Go figure. LOL
