just curious if your doc suggested it, or you decided for yourself?

I started charting last April because we'd been TTC for 6 months with no BFP. I thought it would help us get our BFP quicker.

I saw it here, had never heard of it before, and was always wondering how people knew when AF was coming lol. My cycles are so wacky, I only get AF once every 3-9 months. I thought that charting would give me a bit more info about my cycles, and it HAS helped us conceive! We have been TTC for 8 months (this is my 4th pg in that time unfortunatly) and we are REALLY HOPING that this one decides to stay with us.

when we hadent gotten pregnant after two months of trying and BDing like rabbits i started looking for information on how to get pregnant and i ran acrost FF then i ran acrost a board where people were talking about it and how to get pregnant i used to chat there all the time and really liked it but they decided to start charging to use the site and who can afford that when your buying all these things to TTC right so then i found hear and Sheknows and iv been charting ever since i so understand my body more and i can actually tell when Af is due before it was just a guess which was never right cues i dont have the standard cycle i usually O a little later but i have a good LP 15 days most of the time. and when i finally went to a doc cues we wernt getting pregnant he was so suprised that i was already charting and that i knew what i was doing i could answer all sorts of things about my cycle that he said his normal pasents cant. so ya thats how i got hooked on Charting and now after we get pregnant we can use it to prevent pregnancy.

I actually got into it when DH was away in Saudi, i wanted to know my cycle so that when he got back we could TTC. So I have been charting for 7 years now, the only breaks is when I am pg.

I heard about it from a friend of mine who was charting. I was looking for something to replace BCP. Those things messed with my emotions so badly. My poor husband didn't want to be around me half of the time. I think it has taken two years for my cycles to become normal. I'm very glad I was enlightened about charting.

I decided to chart because I had been on the pill for so many years (since I was like 15 or 16 to regulate me), that I didn't know my real cycles. I went off them here and there, but always had such bad cramps and long long af's etc. Anyway, when DH and I decided to start trying, I went off the pill and started charting immediately. It took me three cycles for my cycle to get "normal" and to conceive, but we lost the little bean. I like knowing when to expect af, and when to test (even though I start testing WAY too early every cycle!!).
