I went to the drugstore to get my BBT thermometer this afternoon (I had to special order it-apparently in my small town this is a special request item) and it is going to be another day or two before it arrives. My question...I got a opk today and am sure that I will be hitting my dip and spike soon. I don't want to miss it...as I would think that it might do some good to have that info even if I am on cd11.

My question...can I temp with a regular thermometer until the bbt therm. arrives? Or will this do no good at all. What is the difference between the two thermometer anyway?

Thanks for you help ahead of time ladies.

Jennifer

If you have a regulat thermo, start off with that one first until your bbt comes in. The difference is the bbt will read to the one hundreth degree, its a little more accurate than a regular. Good luck to you this cycle! (((((((O Vibes)))))))

Yes! Absolutely. A bbt thermometer is better, but you should still be able to see a pattern with a regular thermometer.

If your regular thermometer will read like 97.4 that is okay.

If it just says 97 or 98. It will not be of much help.

Also, you need make not on your chart when you swtich to the other one.

I use a regular one and it does just fine.
