These may be stupid but I am kind of lost...

OK so I used my REGULAR thermometer this morning. I had a 97.6 degrees at 6:30 before I moved an inch. I also tested 30 min later and hadn't moved since 6:30. At 7:00 temp read 98.5. Should the difference be that great. I was still sleeping mind you!

If you are freezing cold..it's cold here now..will that make a difference?

Do you think that I'll be able to catch my dip and spike this month and that might tell me something...or are temps not really going to help this month.

O'ing pains...yesterday evening and through this morning I was having a lot of cramping on my right side...Are these Oing pains and if so does that mean I o'd already? I did get another positive OPK this morning for whatever that is worth!

Thanks in advance for your help.

You want to use the temp when you first woke up this morning, not the second once because you had already woken up, so yes there would be a huge difference. As for O pains, not every women gets them and those that do get them don't get it every cycle. If you are having O pains and you have had pos opks and taking into consideration todays temp, there is a good possibility that you have O'ed. If you see a sustained thermal shift, then FF should be able to pinpoint your O date. As for still getting pos opks, its completely normal to have two to three days of pos opks. HTH! Good luck catching your eggie this cycle! (((((((Baby Vibes)))))))

Do you usually chart your temps?? I just checked your chart and there is only the one on there. It makes it tough to see whats going on really.

Its always best to go with your first temp that you took. If you need to adjust it thats okay, but it can be more accurate than using the second temp especially when its that different.

Thanks for all your help ladies....I don;t know if cm drys up with O cause this is the first time I have paid attention to all this. And yesterday was my first ever temp. This morning I got a temp of 97.9...surly I coultn' have had my spike yet? That would make my dip in the 96's...wouldn't that be too low or are some ladies that low?

Thanks again!

I tend to have lower than normal temps. My pro O temps are usually anywhere from 96.6 to 97.3

And my PG temps are in the lower 98s not upper and into the 99s like some people.

Just keep temping. The thing about charting is you can't really look at each days temp. You have to look at it over all.

And it will take a cycle or 2 to find out what your normal pre and post O temps are.

And of course there are different factors that can make for a higher or lower temp too. Like a hotter or colder than usual house, sleeping with mouth open, not getting 3 straight hours of sleep before temping and not temping at the same time everyday.
