I'm doing opt twice daily now that i am on day 17 of my cycle. last night there was no surge. today around 11 i got the surge. i am also doing bbt and my temp was low this morning. but then after my nap today, out of curiosity i checked my temp. i had a whole degree rise in temp. could i have already ovulated that quickly? i'm going to ignore the rise in temp since it wasn't my regular scheduled time of 6am. but i am wondering when i can expect to ovulate after the test registered a surge. how do i know when i got the surge? what if it happened between last night and today when i took the test? we did do the bd last night, so i think i'm covered.

The temp that you took after your nap means nothing.

The temps that you need to look at are those that you take when you first way in the morning. But you need to make sure that they are taken at the same time everyday and with at least 3 hours of sleep.

As for the LH surge and when you O. They say that once you get a + OPK, that you are suppose to O with in 12 to 48 hours. So the next few days.
