.............but, I've temped a few days now since I've gotten my + opks just to see when I'd get my rise for future reference. I temped this am, and it was 97.9 so I thought maybe today was O day for me, but my temp now at 5:45 pm is 97.6. I wonder if tomorrow will be O day or if my temp is down now because I'm actually oing this evening. Will that happen? Does your temp actually drop when u are Oing? We didn't get too much bding in this week cause dh has worked many nights. So I wasn't counting on this month being our month. But if I'm Oing this evening, we may have a lil glimmer of chance cause we bd'd this morning. What do you think?

The reason you should only temp in the morning before you get out of bed or do anything,is because your temp varies through out the day your whole cycle.
I wanted to try out my thermometer to see if it was working properly so for the past few days Iv been temping at 7am (which is the temp I add to my chart),then again in the afternoon and again at night just to see if it varies, and my temp is always higher at night than it is in the morning and in the afternoon its sometimes low, depending on the day..but those temps dont count. You should only take into consideration your temp in the morning after a good nights sleep which is when your bodys temp is normal and your body is relaxed
Also, before you can make anything out of your temps, you have to be charting for a little while.A while ago I took my temp 2 days running (silly me! lol) and I asked what they meant, and I was told that when you have nothing (no pattern) to compare them to,they dont meant anything kwim?

Yeah I know, I'm bad for taking my temp this evening, I was just seeing what my temp was. I've been charting since June so I kinda know how my temps go and know about what my coverline is and right now I'm below coverline. Usually my temps are up in the evening, but since it was down it made me go hmmmmmm. I just wondered if your temp would go down mid day or evening if you O in the evening? This may be a good research project! lol

I knew you wouldn't be able to resist temping - it's impossible.

But I hope that you did O today so that you have a chance to make it into the August DDC!!

Ok crazy girlie! I thought you were going to stick to the "BD like rabbits" plan. LOL I think you might be O'ing today with that nice low temp you have in your chart. You BD yesterday which is go but if you want that bfp before christmas, I would say BD for the next two days. I know you have some sexy lingerie hanging around the house you can put on!

my best guess would be that if you got a + opk already, and then temped at 97.9, you have already ovulated, if your other early morning temps were lower. if your regular temps are around 97.9, then look for a rise in temps within 3-4 days after a + opk. that's where i'm at. i tested + opk on thursday, and morning temps have been 97.1-2, this morning was 97.7....so i'm pretty sure i've already ovulated. now it's time for the waiting game. keep testing temps though because they will stay elevated until you have a period or if you are pregnant.

as far as temping at night....i did that too and got confused. but somebody set me straight. you have to do it in the morning before moving a muscle and have had at least 3-4 hours of sleep.

LOL! I keep telling myself I am not gonna temp anymore that I will just stop till AF shows or iis late. Yeah right, I can't do that. It would drive me nuts to NOT temp almost.

As for the dip, in a classic chart, the day of O there is a temp dip.

So it looks like it could be today!!!!
