What the..?????

Ok..Im a bit confused right now!

I have (normally) 53 day long cycles since I stopped BCP in July...which means my fertile days arent until CD30+ right? Well,why is FF telling me that I am fertile right now?

(today has been marked in green).
The problem is..thinking that I wasnt fertile at all until mid december,DH and I BD�d last night and we didnt use anything!

Can someone please look at my chart and tell me whats going on because I dont understand it

I went on FF to ad that DH and I just BD�d,and as its midnight,I added it to the 29th AM..and thats when I saw my days in green..but why are they in green? Is it my temp? I dont understand?

I shouldent be fertile this early..unless my cycles have normalised..but what are the chances of that happening? (Iv been off of BCP since July)
I am lost!!!

ould FF be wrong? I cant read temps!!!

hon since you BD last night do u thing the EWCM could be Leftovers. I have EWCM then go to Sticky maybe that is what you are doing. Good Luck Gina (HUGS)

Nope,its def not leftovers...Iv had EWCM on my pantyliner all day today too and its VERY stretchy.When its left over semen its very waterly and has a sticky feel to it,my pantyliners soak it right up as if it were water (sorry about TMI).
This is def ewcm...its very thick,transparent and it stretches at least 3 inches between my fingers,and my pantyliners cant soak it up because its too thick in texture.

I'm guessing FF is marking you as fertile because of EWCM.

Its saying that you are fertile cuz of the EWCM.

And you are on the progesterone right?? That will make your temps higher.

How long are you suppose to take it?

I started it on CD15 and have to take it for 10 days.Then I should get AF 2 to 3 days later making my cycles 28 days long.It makes me SUPER tired,but my sex drive is through the roof! I feel like an animal!

Okay thats what I though. Since you are on it you will not actually be fertile. Its gonna make you not ovulate.

But FF is gonna say you did cuz your temps will be higher.

also since it is your first chart it does not have any old info or cycles to base your stats onm for this cycle, it will automatically assume that you are fertile in the "middle" of your cycle, and since it doesnt know your normal cycle lengths yet it assumes your cycles are 28-32 days long. if you start taking the progesterone on cd 15 you will also get a false coverline and you will not have ovulated yet, and the progesterone will keep you form ovulating so you will end up having a pretty looking chart but no ovulation. it will also giveyour stats innacurate information since you wont actually have ovulated this cycle.

Well then I am lost,because my OB said that this wouldent make me infertile at all,if anything it would help,that she has given this treatment to many women who have long cycles and are TTC and they have got pregnant with no problems..infact,I was talking to a spanish girl on another forum and she said that her OB gave her progesterone in the same doses and days as me,and she got pregnant the first month.
Why would she give me something that would stop me ovulating when she knows Im TTC kwim?
She said shes done this before many times....
Now Im totally lost

She first suggested BCP to sort me out but of course once she knew Im TTC she gave the progesterone instead.

The girl on the other forum may normally ovulate on days 13-14 and if in fact she does then taking the progesterone would help her out, BUT its because she has aleady ovulated...Your OB may not realize that you may not be ovulating at all, she may be assuming that you o an the magical day 14 and that starting day 15 would help you, and if in fact you were ovulating on day 14 she would be 100% right...However you dont know when you ovulate and if at all you do....See that is why I wait until 3dpo to take my progesterone, becuase my o date range is cd12-16....so for example ...If I ovulated on day 13 and I started the progesterone on day 15 id be great....however if i strted the progesterone on day 15 but that month i wasnt due to ovualte until cd16 , I will not ovulate, in fact I will supress it....

See during your cycle you have hormones changes that affect things, In the beginning of the cycle you have estrogen and luteneizing hormone, the estrogen gives you the fertile cm and causes your cervix to open and soften up, It changes the alkalinity of your cm to accomidate sperm since most of the time your cm is very hostile to sperm, The luteneizing hormone builds up and peaks which is what causes an egg to rupture out of a follicle, NOW once that egg ruptures the sac it burst out of forms a cyst called the corpus luteum cyst, The main function of this cyst is only to release progesterone into your body preventing the lining from being shed. This cyst does this waiting for an egg to implant and release hcg, when that happens it "flips a switch" in the cyst tellin git not to go anywhere that theres precious cargo on board, In reply the cyst continues to release progesterone until the placenta takes over around 12 weeks. During that time up until 12 weeks the cyst is responsible for maintaing a lush nutrient rich lining for the eggie and preventing another eggie from rupturing (ovulation)...If the cyst fails these functions you will most likely lose the baby because the lining of your uterus will shed and the baby along with it...

So progesterone if taken before ovulation will prevent you form ovulating, you are in essence tricking your body into thinking you have 1)already ovulated and 2) that you are pregnant.....progesterone is always present in very minute amounts but the amount you take in a pill form is equivalent if not more that what your body will produce,

You wil find that on day 3 of taking th eprogesterone that your boobs will hurt badly, you will be constitpated, possibly upset stomach and pretty much feel pregnant, when in fact it is just the side effects of the progesterone....

Have you heard of the Depo shot???? Do you know what it is??? It is nothing but a shot of progesterone given in large amounts every 3 months...main purpose is birth control... Most pills are progesterone based pills, and the nuva ring in progesterone....The purpose is to release progesterone into your body during the pre ovulation time and after therefore preventing pregnancy....

You should probably call the ob who gave you the script, She may not realize that you personally havent ovulated by day 15....Yes you will have a 28 day cycle by taking the progesterone on day 15 but it will be without ovulation.....

Well crap!!

She knows I have 2 month long cycles,and she knows Im TTC,she also knows that if Im ovulating at all its past CD30...so I cant even begin to think why she has made me take the progesterone! She said it would really help me but what you said makes sense and now I dont want to take it any more

If I stop taking it right now,what will happen? Iv only taken 2..will AF come again? Will I have totally screwed up this cycle? Im going to phone her to see whats up because I really dont want to take them if all its going to do is act like BC! Iv had enough of that as it is!

If you really liked your OB then I would give her recommendation a chance. After all she is the doctor not all of us despite our vast knowledge. Even if you try it for only a month or two, just see what happens and express your concerns to here and don't be afraid to voice your doubts in the treatment. Maybe she can clear up your questions or if not then recommend a different treatment option.

Gina honey, I just wanted to clarify with ya that I am not trying to tell you what you should do...Im just offering my advice to ya ... Although lol you already know that dont you HAHAHA.....ANYWAY....I just wanted to remind you to ehem prop up that butt for 15 minutes, ride the bike upside down, takeyour geritol 3x a day, and dont forget the magic part which is rubbing your earlobe while listening to britney spears and sticking your tongue out exactly 6 times....
