ok, so a few questions i know i o'd yesterday, so if i have my longest lp which is 11 days, that will make my cycle 32 days which is in the normal range, but does that still count since my lp is still short. i read something last night while surfing about o'ing after day 19 is bad with lower quality eggs and higer miscarriage rates. actually, one site said that if your cycles are over 35 days you may as well not bother charting and just go to the doctor because it suggests decreased ovarian function. i'm pretty sure i've been o'ing this late ever since i got off bc 7 years ago, i also think i have pcos or some hormone problem, but i did concieve my dd without any meds, so i think i got pg o'ing fairly late, sonogram showed 3 ro 4 days off so that would be 17 or 18 right? i am trying to find out how early i should be hoping to o.

As far as I know there is no danger in ovulating late. There are tons of ladies here with long cycles who have had healthy pregnancies and babies.

Once of the biggests problems with long cycles is that it gives you fewer chances to try because you are ovulating less often. It is possible to ovulate an under mature or over mature egg, but it is not simply decided by the day it happens on. It is a combination of how your hormones are released and when the egg actually ovulates. A girl on here named Amber, ovulated on day thirty something of her cycle and then got here BFP at day forty something and she is now in her third trimester.

I guess what I am saying is that it is not all so cut and dry.

I o'd between cd19-cd21 with both my boys. Both were uncomplicated pregnancies and healthy full-term babies.
