I'm new to this site - been lurking the past several days and really liked what I was reading, as well as the topics that were covered.

DH and I are TTC #3. We have a DD (4) and DS (2). Been charting off and on now for several years. I've noticed that my EWCM has gone from abundant (5-6 days several years ago) to almost non-existent today (1 day).

For the current cycle I'm in, I just ovulated without any EWCM. I did have several days of watery though.

Is it possible to get pregnant without EWCM? I'm sure the ideal scenario is to have EWCM, but I'm curious to know if you really need it to get pregnant.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I would love to know the answer to this too. I know that I O'd last month, but I didn't ever get EWCM and I usually get it. I think the Clomid may have caused some changes in that department. Sorry I can't be the one to answer your question, but if anyone else knows the answer, please let us know!!

I'd like to add that just because you don't notice it, doesn't mean it's not there. It may just not be "abundant" but you could still be having EWCM on your cervix.

Also wanted to add, that if you want to increase your cm, I drink green tea from CD1 to O. That has helped me alot.

Is watery cm really considered the most fertile? Everything I've read states that EWCM is the most fertile. Is this a huge misconception then?

Dr told me that watery was most fertile because it was thinner then ewcm and easier for the sperm to live and swim in. Now if its true I dont know just saying what the dr told me!

Diznynurse is right sometimes(TMI coming up) I gotta bear down like I gotta BM to see any ewcm at all.

ive gotten ewcm maybe twice in my life and i am currently pg. i used evening primrose to make my fertile (watery) cm more abundant and lo and behold that cycle is the one i concieved on . and as pp stated, even though you cant see it doesnt mean its not up by your cervix waiting .good luck

Yes you can. Watery CM is good too.

THere are some though that don't even get the watery or the EWCM and still get pg.
