Hi Jenn, You seem to know a lot about this so I was wondering if you could look at my chart...I was having cramps on CD11 and CD12 so I thought I was O'ing but FF doesn't say that I did. Now I think I may be getting ready to O, only bc my temps are rising but I don't think I have any other signs (i.e. my CM is Creamy and I have no cramps).

What do you think? Should I BD tonight and tomorrow night? If I am O'ing is there a good chance I have sperm left in my body that might fertilize a little eggie from the other nights I BD'd?

Thanks...P.S. if anyone else has any helpful info it would be most welcome!!! Thanks

It looks to me like you may have O'd yesterday, but a few more temps would help.
I had my O pain on CD 13 and didn't O until CD16. So it is possible to take a little while to O after you have the crampiness. I even had a little blood tinged CM on Cd 11, so I was sure I would O then.

I agree with Meghan.

Based on what I see on your previous chart and your CM today, it looks like you O'd yesterday. But it doesn't hurt to continue BDing.

It looks like maybe day 14 was your O day.

BUT it could have been day 13 too when you had the wet CM.

Sometimes you can have a late rise, or a slow rise after Oing, My charts have proved that and I have seen many more.

I will be watching your chart thats for sure. The next few day should tell for sure.

This cycle I had Oing pains on day 18 and 19, but FF says I didn't O till day 20. WHICH I didn't agree with, but based on my pg test results and all it is very possible.

And the cycle I got pg with my 5th the same thing I felt like I had Oed 3 days before FF said I did. My temp didnt go up till then.

Thanks for your input ladies! Much appreciated! BUT I forgot to mention one very key element here that leads me to believe either I haven't O'd yet or I O'd on CD11 or CD12 and that is that I took OPT's starting on Monday (CD13 -twice), again on Tues, and again today. All turned out "negatory good buddy." This is my first time using them and I bought the CVS brand so I don't know how accurate they are. I was thinking of taking one again tonight and again tomorrow to see...

Sorry to leave out this rather important info. I'm such a newbie and am embarrassed!

Or...if I did O and now am pregnant, would the tests show up negative too?

Thanks so much!!!

Plus remember that your EWCM usually dries up BEFORE you ovulate,,,EWCM is a result of the hormone estrogen and as you head towards O time estrogen rises causing EWCM and your cervix to soften and open up, Now at this time your Luteneizing hormone or LH (which is what opk's test for) is building up , because this is what causes the eggie to pop out....Now Your LH surges 12-24 hours BEFORE ovulation and when this happens a) you get a pos opk and B) your cm dries up.....See LH surges and surpasses the estrogen causing cm to dry up as well as your cervix to begin closing BEFORE ovulation....you are still fertile then , theres no doubt about that, but you will notice that EWCM turns to creamy a day or so before ovulation....

Also keep in mind that the reason you may not have had a pos opk is because somtetimes your surge literally can last 30 minutes....you would test and it would never be pos yet your surge was so fast that if you werent testing 3 times a day you would miss it kwim....and some months you get that sloooooooow rise and then like 2 days of pos opk's....its whatever our bodies wan tot do that month lol.....

I am adding that after loking at your chrt you "may" have not ovulated yet...and yet you may have....I am thinking either just a day ago or not at all yet... keep bd'ing

Sandymal...thanks for the input. I'm begining to think it's a waste of time and money to use OPT's because I may miss that magic hour or two or three or whatever my body decides to do that particular month. One more question then...today I've been checking my CM by using my fingers up there and its very creamy, like lotion. Based on what you said, if I O'd already, shouldn't I dry up? It seems like it's getting creamier as each day passes...

I personally dont use OPK's anymore for that reason, I figure if I bd enough and at least every other day starting on like cd9 (my o day is usually 12-16) then my bases are covered and I saved moola on the OPk's since really I bd'ed anyway whether I got a pos opk or not....

You also want to try not to check cm by sticking your fingers up there, you will always have some sort of moisture up there, and if you didnt can you imagine what it would feel like lol....

After ovulation you do usually dry up, but drying up for me may be having tons of creamy cm and drying up for you could be having absolutely nothing, and some women have watery all the time... IT takes awhile to get used to what "our" normal is for fertile and non fertile because each woman is different and unique in their own way... IMO you should keep up your bding at least every other day, I dont think you have ovulated yet...See last month your o date is on cd13 but I think you didnt ovulate until cd16 lst cycle, and since you have just started charting you dont really know what your personal norm is kwim...

You know I think you're right about not O'ing until CD16 last cycle too! I wondered about that myself. Hopefully then I haven't O'd and I'll get to BD'ing again tonight! Thanks so much for your help!!!

I have used OPKs in the past, but really feel like they are a waste of money cuz I had never gotten a + before.

This time I think I was just lucky that I got them when I did, and then I was testing 2 times a day cuz you can miss that surge.

OPKs have such strict rules to go along with them.
