I was told in the past that I have a tilted uterus. So my question is how much will it change your CP? I check pretty regularly (started in Oct) I have only felt it low once, where it was right htere and easy to touch. The past few days it has been high but forward, then today it is high and in the back. Would I consider the high but forward as being low? I mean I can feel the side of the cervix for a few cm or so and then have to reach forward and follow along it to find the opening. Where as today I had to reach just as far, but way back towards the small of my back instead of towards my pubic bone.

Any input? I am not sur ehow to record it, because I feel a definate difference in the position.

your uterus being tilted on the inside doesnt have any bearing on how it is on the outside....what you want to do is find the norm for you...see my norm is that when i first wake up my cervix is always low and soft and flat,,,no matter where in my cycle i am, and then i check a couple times throughout the day,,,it changes all day but i can pretty much tell whethre im open or closed pretty easily, but i didtn really get the hang of it until i had been doing it for maybe 4 months.....

your cervix will change all the time, just like how ehem mens testicles rise and fall and swell and shrink, so does your cervix...my suggestion is to make sure to bd erevy other day and use cervix as a secondary sign kwim....

and you can record it as how it felt but then later if it changes you can go back and change it

Are you sure? The CNM was able to tell by feeling my cervix that my uterus was tipped.

right she can tell, see when a doc or midwife or whomever feels she places her fingers in the vagina as well as presses down on your uterus from your abdomen...she could tell your uterus was tilted because of how far she pressed to feel your uterus or how tilted back your bottom was during the examination...your actual cervix rises up and down all throughout the day...having a tilted uterus doesnt affect how your cervix will feel from the outside....when your doc had her fingers up there she knew your uterus was tilted because she pressed with her other hand,,,my doc does htis as well as i have a severely tilted uterus

ok, that makes sense. I guess I will just have to see if it should be counted as high or low in future cycles, or go back to not checking it at all. I guess that is why I never was able to find it in the past though. It was forwarda nd I was searching back...eh go figure everything else about my is a little weird too.

I just wanted to add, I myself don't check my cervix very often. But I was told to check at the same time everyday because your cervix will move up and down through out the day. So if you check it at the same time everyday, then you will have more accurate info on what your cervix is doing. kwim?

Adding something else to everyones comments....

checking your CP I think can be a little confusing cuz it can change throughout the day and not everyones is the same you know.

Like FF and other charting thing say when you are fertile, your CP is high open and soft. Mine is not, mine is actually LOW then. LOL

Even with your tilted uterus, even if it did cause your CP to be a bit different after time of checking it and noting the changes you will see what is normal for YOU.
