Hi ladies!
I decided to start charting so I can figure out my wacky cycles (my last one was around 50 days long, which is not normal).

Just have a few questions-

How long do you leave in the thermometer for? Or does it just beep when it's done?
Does it matter that i'll be starting on CD5, or that I don't know how long my cycles are?

Any other tips or pointers would be amazing

How long do you leave in the thermometer for? well mines digital cues its eiser to read and it beeps when its done doesent take very long.

I dont think that it matters that your starting on CD5 it will still start to give you and idea of what your cycles are doing and you should still be able to tell when you Ovulate cues Cd5 is too early alot of women dont temp during af i dont always temp during af either

lets see tips- temp at a consistant time every day it will give you the best view of your cycle.

i try to check cm and cp about the same time every day cues your Cp will change at different points during the day.

i dont temp oraly i temp vagenally (ok and i so did not spell that right lol) i found it to be more accurate in my case i guess i sleep with my mouth open alot lol. it just seems to work better for me but everyone is different i know alotof women temp oraly. i also think theirs a thread at the top of the board with good tips and stuff that id read. hope that helped some im shure others will be in with more advice and what not

The most important thing to do is to make sure you get at least 3 hours of sleep, and temp at the same time every morning. Do not get out of bed and try to not move much. LOL

And of course if you have any questions please ask!

Thanks!

I started putting my chart together without temps , i'm excited to get started.

So.. don't get out of bed? Should I just keep the thermometer on my nightstand and use it as soon as my alarm goes off?

I'm ready to get started!

Do I have to set the thermometer to any certain temp, or does it come set correctly?

Nope, don't have to set your thermometer, it'll just read what your temp is at the time you take it. There is a getting started sticky at the top of this forum. It's good reading!! Good Luck!!

Try not to read into each temp, it's the pattern your temps are taking that is important.
