I'm not crazy am I?
This is a positive OPK isn't it?

I know the one before was hard to decipher, but this one DEFINITELY looks positive to me (and so did the one yesterday)
Ugh I feel like i'm going insane.
It's still doing the dark on one side, and not as dark as the other side- but still looks darker than the test line all around.
Does anyone use Answer brand OPKs that can give me some insight?

I'd say its not quite positive. The test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line and it doesn't look quite there. If i were you i'd bd anyway to cover your bases. When i use opks i test twice a day to ake sure i catch my surge, usually 12-2pm then 6-8pm. A good website for answers to hpt and opk questions is peeonastick.com

edited to add, i just looked at the pic again and i thinl i got the test line and the control line mixed up lol sorry. It does indeed look very positive so get bding

I went to peeonastick yesterday when I took my second OPK.
That one was most definitely positive.
the test line is the line on the left (incase you thought it was the one on the right).
I just hate how it does that fade-out thing and makes me unsure, arrggghhh

I wish i'd bought a better brand that wasn't so darn hard to read!

edited to add: someone pleaasseee do me a huge favor and go read peeonastick about the answer tests and how 50% of the test line has to be darker than the control line in order to be positive.
That's why i'm going insane over this, because I can't tell if the ENTIRE line is darker, or just that thin strip to the left of my test line.
I'm so paranoid that i'm reading them wrong.

that was my test two days ago- and a super good example of the half dark/half light test line. but now that I compare it to todays and yesterdays tests, it looks negative.

Hey, fishysticks.

I lurk here and I keep reading you trying in vain to get someone to go read about the half light/half dark thing.

I have read literally everything on PeeOnAStick and I do remember that part about the Answer OPKs and the half dark/half light thing. But I think that picture is DEFINITELY positive. More if it is dark than light. Almost the entire line looks darker to me (there is a TINY, almost invisible strip where it's lighter) but even the light part looks darker than the control line. Why are you here, crazy? Don't you have better things to be doing!?

Now that I think of it, why don't you email Meg (that's her name) and see if she has pictures of those specific lines that she's talking about there? She did call the toll-free number herself and wrote about it, and when she does that she usually posts pictures. Maybe she has some. She does sound really nice.

Haha that's a good idea, actually.
I'm a HUGE worrier and constantly second guessing things that can be deciphered differently.

I've come to peace with the fact that the test today was positive

I guess my main ridiculous issue is with my test two days ago- either i really messed it up and it was positive or it's most definitely negative- which makes my temp jump abnormal (it was lower today, but still higher than average) and i'm not sure whether to just discard that temp (since i'd been drinking the night before) or to keep it and see what happens.

Blah, i'm such a worry-wart.
I've been waiting so long to O that every little things freaks me out!

I guess keep it and see what happens. But I mean, didn't you say that your temp usually DROPS after drinking? Eh ... idk.

I do have an idea. Maybe you were gearing up to O, and it WAS positive (I'm sure you read this on POAS, too, you addict!), but it didn't happen right then. It sure could be happening now. Honestly, the one from two days ago looks 'barely positive' to me, based on the 'half' rule.

I know what you mean about waiting to O. I'm on CD freaking 65 here.

Ouch that's awful!
I wish we could all just O on CD14 and have that be that.

ONE of my temps from drinking went up before, and the other went down- so there's no real pattern to it
I discarded it, seeing what happens.
even with the discarded temp it's a .4 rise from the last one.

Sometimes you can get more than one positive OPK. If you catch your surge at the right time you can catch the start of it and then the end of it too. I bet you get another temp jump tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!
