Hello! I am new to charting and I have seen these terms used in other posts. Can anyone tell me what they mean?

THanks!

If you are taking your temperature and charting it, then fertility friend will give cross lines to show when you ovulated, that is called cross hairs, Ferning is in response to using a saliva scope to check fertility.

Yep what she said! LOL

fertility friend will give you cross hairs usually about 3 or 4 days after you ovulate on your chart. This is just a way some of us feel our ovulation was confirmed LOL

And the ferning has to do with a scope that uses your saliva. It can actually show when you are fertile.
