My BB thermometer has been making a strange sound the last couple of days and finally it died tonight. Do you think my previous temps are ok? Or should I discard them?

When the battery is low you can get "flat" temps sometimes, and those aren't accurate. But yours over the past couple days are certainly not flat! So don't worry unless the pattern over the next couple days is wildly different.

Look at my temps now! I have no idea what to think about why my temps would go so high and then so low when I am a good 8-9 days from expecting AF? Any other thoughts?

You're not 8 or 9 days from expecting AF. You're more like 1 or 2 days from expecting AF.

Your luteal phase should stay around the same length most cycles. I understand that your cycle is usually much longer than this, but you ovulated 10 or so days earlier than usual. That means AF will also come about 10 days earlier than usual.

But in any case, there might not be any reason for a two-day dip like that. Just as long as it doesn't go below the coverline, you're okay for testing on the day AF is due. Which for you is tomorrow or the next day.

I am really wondering if your O date is way off. It almost seems to me like you JUST ovulated.

Do you usually have regular cycles?
