So I awoke at 2am last night, aprox 3 hours after falling asleep. I took my temp because I was getting up and it was 36.60. Had an upset stomach, went to the bathroom and got a drink - then went back to bed. Woke up again at 5:50am when DH got up and temp was 36.09. I have been temping between 6-630 so that should be the right temp however I was sure I O'd yesterday. Went back to sleep and at 6:30 my temp was 36.39.

I would say that 5:50 temp but it's sure low What do you think?

Sounds very similar to the way my nights go sometimes. I picked 5:30am to temp but lately I either have been going to bed after 2am (out late or something) or just waking up at 3am. Now I just put in the temps closer to the time that I normally temp. But I be sure to put in "sleep deprived" or something because it wasn't after 3 hours of sleep. I don't know what else for us to do. It is my understanding that our temp tend to be lower earlier in the morning and increases thereafter?

Do you think your upset stomach had anything to do with your temp being higher at 2am? Or perhaps that drink in the night decreased your temp? At any rate, I'd pick the temp closer to your normal time...especially if you went back to sleep.

I would take the temp you did at 5:50 but adjust it.

I am not sure if it makes a difference when you are using celcius VS F, but if you are using F, then the rule of thumb is if you wake early you add .1 degree for every half hour early. You could safely add a .1 degree I think. But mark on your chart disturbance.

Hmmm, I think I'd keep temping and see what happens. I have to wonder if maybe you are going to O today.

Ugh! LOL, I have tired hubby out this week first with his SA and now with me mis-predicting my O date I am pooped too - was looking forward to sweatpants and a tshirt tonight LOL.

Okay so I am really 'off' this month. If I change yesterdays temp to 36.39, FF gives me an ovulation day of Friday, CD12. But I had my + opks and peak on my monitor on Saturday. I am almost thinking that I geared up to ovulate and didn't. Has never happened since I started charting almost a year ago but I know it can happen.

I have left my chart as is but what do you think?
