What the heck is going on??? Why is my temp continuing to drop? I am only 7DPO! My LP is average 13-14 days (except last month because I didn't actually O) ....

Why am I already dropping? I don't understand this, I am confused! My body is not even giving me the chance to get excited about the possibility of being pregnant this cycle. It just stripped that away from me at 7 DPO!

Any advice? Does anyone know what is going on?

I'm sorry hun! I know how you feel. I got soooo excited about this cycle and now it turned out to be a bust! I don't know why your chart is doing what it's doing...but just know you are not alone!

Take care and good luck!

Brandi

Keshlia, I'm so sorry. I know how you must be feeling right now. But keep your head up; your temp is still pretty high. It's gonna be okay whatever the outcome. Sometimes we just don't see how not getting pg could possibly be a blessing until later on down the road. I have to say I'm a little relieved that Dh and I haven't had any chidren yet, just because of this move, it has been so stressful!
Anyway, you've got plenty of time yet for your temp to go back up! Don't give up before AF is due, k? For me? I'm rootin' for ya, girl!

Thanks Sarah! You always make me feel better! I was just really excited this month since I didn't do anything last month. It is just really weird, even for my crazy cycles, for my temp to be dropping this early. I really hope that it shoots back up tomorrow morning and it keeps climbing and climbing!

We will just have to see... Oh well I guess we all get pg when the time is right. I just hope that it is sooner than later.

Well, look at it this way. This is the same thing that happened last cycle. So this is probably just your body's temp pattern ... we're all different. If mine was that way I'd consider it LUCKY. You won't be thinking you're pregnant every cycle, because you think your chart looks triphasic, testing every day and getting BFNs, and then having a sudden temp drop and then AF. You will know you're not and that's that. If your temp keeps going up it's incredibly stressful to wonder "Why am I still getting BFNs? Is there something wrong with me? Is there an embryo, but it's miscarrying so my temp hasn't dropped yet?" etc. You just know you're not.

That being said, we're talking about a drop from a ONE-DAY spike. If your temp hadn't been high a couple days ago, this "drop" wouldn't be upsetting at all, would it? It would just be a normal post-O temp, on the same level as temps from the whole week before. Nothing weird about that, and no reason you can't be pregnant with that. Not all pregnancy charts are triphasic.

Think of it either of those ways, whichever you prefer, and maybe you'll feel better.

Well... I guess that is true. If my temp hadn't spiked so high on Thursday, these temps wouldn't be so bad. But.... this cycle, unlike last cycle, there is clear thermal shift from ovulation. So I know that I Oed this month. Last month was a bust! So... perhaps my temp spike was a fluke for some odd reason. My temps are still way above my coverline, so we will just have to see.

Thanks for the words of wisdom! I do feel better!
