I had a bbt I bought at walmart and used for 2 yr it only read to one number beyond the decimal. It still works, but since I was going on clomid, and progesterone therapy, I ordered the bbt from earlypregnancytest.com that reads two numbers beyond the decimal.

When I first got it 2 months ago, I checked my temp with both thermometers each day for a week. There was a .9-1.2 degree difference. Well now, when this is semi important, Im 8 days into the 2ww, Im thinking man my temps just arent getting high like they used to in the 2ww.... so this morning I check with both thermometers. walmart brand reads 98.5 which is high, and well looks really great on a chart at this phase. The internet one reads 97.98 yes, its not as big of a difference as I was seeing previously, but still half a degree....

So what would you do? Would you go back to the thermometer that worked fine, that you had been charting with for 2 yrs, or stick with the new one?

I am not sure. Do you char ton FF? Maybe take it on one side with one and the other side with the other one. Chart one set of temps on FF and one on fertilitycircle? That way you can watch both patterns and see if they are still going up and down in a similar way? I think it is like weight loss, I never weight the same on the docs scale as I do at home, but if my scale at home says I lost 5 pounds, so will the docs scale. It is the overall patterns. If i weigh at home I weigh 185, at work (docs scale) 197, but both scales show the same overall lose from when I started.

Either way I would continue to use the therm that you have been using this cycle, if you want to switch do it after the next cycle starts, or it will throw things off.

I agree. I would keep using the one that you started this cycle with. They may be off but they should be consistently off kwim?
