Hey girls . . . I am a little confused. I am having HUGE amounts of EWCM this morning. I am 11 DPO and not due to O until 16 DPO. I got a low reading this morning on my monitor (not even high!!!) What is going on?

Huh? You're not due to O until 16DPO? I'm not quite sure what you're talking about...BUT.....

You are either gearing up to ovulate, or you are going to bleed. When the plug that seals the cervix starts to liquify and come out before menstration, it looks like EWCM for some women.

Oh wait, never mind! I looked at your chart - now I get it.

Sorry, but your body doesn't follow a calender. It will decide to ovluate when it feels like ovulating. The presence of mucus means your hormone levels have risen and your fertile time has begun. Some cycles it may happen earlier or later. Each woman is unique, and each cycle is also unique. Your monitor may not pick up a high until your hormone levels rise just a bit more. Mucus is always the first sign that you are fertile, monitors/OPK's/saliva tests all usually pick it up a little closer to ovulation.

Yes, that's the moral! Actually, not just EWCM - when you observe *any* mucus you should BD! The first mucus that starts (sticky, creamy, cloudy, etc) can keep sperm alive up to 5 days, it locks it away and even sorts out the bad ones! The wet, clear, slippery stuff makes channels for the sperm to travel through to get to the egg. Sooooo, you want to have lots of sperm "stored up" when ovulation occurs. So BD when you observe any mucus at all, EWCM or otherwise! HAVE FUN!
