I use a BD brand too. I have used their regular ones and now have their BBT one. What color is it? And what shape is it?

They have one that is white and sort of thinner, it takes your temp really quickly, and is not accurate for charting.

They have a white one that is shorter and sort of chubby, it has memory recall and beeps while it is taking your temp. It is good for charting even if it isn't labeled as BBT. I used one for years, and was avoding pregnancy and never had an 'opps'. I got it from the Couple To Couple League with my NFP training kit.

They also have a pink one, this is the 'actual' BBT, but from everything I can see it is the same as their other Accu-beep, just a different color. And costs about $2.00 more.

I have a Walgreens BBT thermometer. It was like $9 and it is good because it records the last couple of temperatures taken. I always fall back asleep so quick that I tend to forget!!

I just bought one at CVS, it's was about 9 bucks. And it's purple. I was using a reg. therm and was accurate for O, but with my new bbt it's showing lower temps.

If you change thermometers mid cycle then your chart won't be accurate.

Does it beep while it is in your mouth to let you know it is in the right spot? Mine does and it usually takes about 12-18 beeps (depending on how cold it is in the room) to take my temp. I wouls say it takes about 15 to 30 seconds to take the temp. I had one from them that took about 9 secs, and it was NOT very accurate, it would give me low temps if it was cold in the room.

If you are worried about it than maybe you should wait until next cycle and get a different one. I love the BD brand because of Accu-beep, so I know I have it in the right spot. It also helps when I am taking the kid's temp because I can get them to concentrate on listening to the beep, or counting it when they get older. It takes their mind off of sitting for 30 seconds...lol.
