Hi Girls! I have never taken my BBT. I know that's the only way I can know if I really did ovulate (other than by blood tests). My son is almost 6 months old. DH and I really want to have our kids close in age. I was getting +opk's on CD 15 and 16 since my son was 2 months old. Now...this month....nothing yet and I am on CD19. DH will be working out of town for 4months. He'll be home 1 night a week. This will really put a burden on our TTC. I would like to see though if I am ovulating regulary. I know we have only been trying for 4 months, but it seems like forever. I am such a whiny butt sometimes! I obsess over everything!

You should TOTALLY Be charting BBT. And use OPK only as a cross-check to your BBT and CM. It's really easy, especially if you sign up at www.fertilityfriend.com Plus, then we can look at your charts and help you decipher what is happening with you.

If you are breastfeeding, that will mess with things too...

But if you aren't, then I suspect that your ovultion has been delayed due to stress...probably stress over TTC and DH being gone a lot! Is this a possability?

It's not the only way - you can tell from accurate daily obervations of cervical mucus. But it does require instruction from a certified teacher to learn to interpret your own unique mucus patterns. You learn to tell the difference between the body's attempt to ovulate (which will produce mucus) and the real thing (the mucus pattern has to meet a strict criteria to be considered a true Peak).

It's fun! And BBT's are fun too - go for it if you like!

Charting certainly could help you out. its great to see whats going on and it helps to look back to compare as well.

WOWSA, yall have been TTC since your little one was 2 months old. LOL My kids are close in age, but none are that close. I breastfeed though so that is kinda like natures way of spacing. BUT even with that our biggest age gap is 24 months.
