Hi everyone

Im new here. Im 32, husband is 29 and we have 3 beautiful sons aged 4-1/2, 3 and 20 months. Ive been thinking lately about having another baby and husband is back and forth with it. I would really like to have a little girl but would be just as happy if I had another boy. I know I may seem nuts because I have 3 little ones but I feel like Im getting older and dont want to wait too long and not be able to conceive or be an older mom. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I have been reading the older you get the harder it is to conceive. Dont know how true that is, so hope it doesnt offend anyone.

My question is, the only pregnancy I planned was my second child whom I tried to conceived and succeeded right after a m/c. For the last couple months my period has been coming at different dates its been at (in this order) 28 days, 33 days, 29 days, 35 days so I dont really know when to expect it again to pinpoint ovulation and Im nbot familiar with temperature charting. Can anyone offer me advice.

Thanks so much

Take a read through the beginers section at the top of this board. There's some good start up tips there.

I would suggest you try charting temps. It's so much easier to know what your body is doing. and truly, even though some days it's frustrating, it's really cool.

I'd say you should get the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Someone suggested I read it, and it is SO good. It explains everything in great detail and will help you understand what you are doing better.

Good luck!

Glad to have you here. I'm 33, dh 37 we are ttc #2 together since March '06

First things first, go buy a basal body thermometer, you can pick it up at your local drug store for about 10bucks. While you are taking your temps you can chart them for free at Fertilityfriend.com. Then bd approximately 3 times per week (or more) while you are learning your body and hopefully you'll catch that eggie! Read the getting started sticky, it has lots of good information.
