I want to temp vaginally also. I found my thermometer that I was using b/f I had DD. I'm on CD 14 or so. Is it too late to start temping vaginally? I'm going to continue the oral temping though.

Is there anything to try to remember when temping vaginally? The problem with the oral temping right now is that I never know when DD is going to wake up in the morning. I usually try to temp during the 5 o'clock hour, which means anywhere from 5 to 6, depending on if she's still asleep.

Do the vaginal temps have to be taken as precisely as the oral temps?

I don't temp vaginally, but from talking with other ladies who have, yes you have to take it at the same time. Now remember though, you have 30min before or after your "regular" temp and still have accuracy. And make sure if you chart on a charting web site (like FF or ovusoft) then con't using the oral temp on that chart. You may find that your temps are different (I don't know) and you don't want to mess up your chart. kwim. Good Luck.

I did a few cycles oral and noticed that my temps were rocky, so this cycle I switched to vaginal temping. I wouldnt switch in the middle of your cycle because I noticed my vaginal temps are higher then my oral temps. Once a new cycle comes you can do the vaginal and I think your see a difference, it wont be so rockey and higher.

You can go ahead and start vaginal temping if you want, but make a note of the change on your chart.
