I NEVER sleep through the whole night. Usually I wake around 3-5 to go to the bathroom, sometimes feed the cat if she's annoying me too much. I normally fall right back to sleep and then test at 7:00am. Does that affect my temp? Also, this is crazy, but a few times I couldn't "find" my thermometer and had to get up and look for it (usually it's under the bed). Should I discard those temps?

You should get at least 3 hours of sleep, so if your getting up at 5am then your not getting the 3 hours of sleep. I would try to get up early say around 3 if you gotta get it up at all, also yes it does affect your temp if you get up and move around. You should temp without getting out of bed or even moving.

The waking at night and then temping at 7, can be fairly accurate. Of course its ideal to have at least 3 hours of sleep, but that doesn't always happen, Even if you have a little less than that, since its normal for you you may see your pattern out of it anyway.

As for the having to get up to find the thermometer, those temps probably shoudl be thrown out.
