Hi there!

I was wondering what you all thought about FF vs. TCOYF charting software? What's better on both, what sucks? I am already a VIP on FF, so that's paid for. What does TCOYF cost, is it free like basic FF? Any details would be great!!

Ovusoft is much more accurate and comprehensive - hardly any false interpretations. FF is always coming up with erroneous interpretations. Fertility Friend has a very limited perspective on cervical mucus, whereas Ovusoft has options for both what you FEEL and what you SEE - which are both very important, especially since some women never actually see much at all, but will feel the presence of mucus.

Ovusoft also calculates based on mucus + temps combined, FF relies heavily on the temperature sign. Ovusoft doesn't compare your chart to other users, because they way other women cycle has nothing to do with your unique cycle! It will compare your charts only to your own previous charts. It also has setting options for avoiding pregnancy (though this should not be used in place of proper training for doing that).

It just stinks that you have to buy it, but definitely worth the investment.

I agree with Shawna. I am goig to be buying the ovusoft program. For me though I don't mind buying it since it is a one time purcahse, unlike FF if you want the 'bells and whisltes' you have to pay over and over and over, that just sucks to me.

FF was $45 for a life time subscription, what does the Ovusoft cost... I suppose I could look into it. Sounds like it's better, just not as popular?

Ovusoft costs about the same. I think it's just not as popular because people find FF because it's free (and you can use if for free if you don't want to pay). You can't use Ovusoft for free.

Oh, I haven't been offered that deal. The best I got was about $39 for a year, nothing for a lifetime. Maybe if I keep holding out on paying for it they will offer me a life time subscription too.

I like TCOYF. It gives a lot more info. And with a one time purchase price of I think it was $49.95 you can use it forever and not have to renew. It can detect your ovulation date if you're not as good about temping everyday. I would really recommend it over FF. But if you have a Mac the software won't work with a Mac. Also it calculates your estimated fertile phase of your cycle based on past cycles. When you get PG like me it gives an estimated due date for delivery. I just like the set up better, but I think some of it has to do with the fact that I read Toni's book, so her software fits more with what I think of as charting.

Hope that helps,
Sarah

I use FF because it's free. I have pretty "regular" cycles and temp pattern so it works for me. But I have heard other ladies prefer tcoyf. YOu could also learn to chart and interpret your own cycles! Just kidding!!!

I'd say if you aren't having trouble with FF, then stick with it. No need to spend anymore money!!! I think FF is more accurate than not if you are charting temps, with CM and using opk's will also increase the accuracy!

Good Luck! PM me anytime you have any questions.

I have both of them, I like my ovusoft much more.

I have both of them for lifetime so I don't have to pay for them again, but if I had to pick one to pay for it would be ovusoft.
