Okay...so how much does external temperature affect your BBT? We have been up at my MIL's and she has a nice warm fireplace where we all sleep (to keep our son warm). I was just wondering how much the warmth of the fireplace would affect my BBT.

Thanks for all your help ladies!!!

Ok girl this is getting weird.......now this will be how many questions that we asked the same now??? LOL

I asked if a fan going in my room would affect my temps......since it is freaking 90 degrees here now.

I think if you sit close to the fire you may have some effect.....the same effect a heater would have.......

I worry about my fan making my temps lower.

Your BBT is based on your metabolism, so external temp should not have a real affecto n your temp. A cold room may make a difference only because the thermometer is cold, but holding it in your hand to warm it a little will even it out.
