Ok, ladies, I have never charted before, never needed to. Both pregnancies, I got pregnant within the first month of going off of birth control. However, I miscarried, and had a D&C last week. My doc said that we can start TTC as soon as we are up to it, that he's had many patients pregnant before they even have a period after a miscarriage. While I'd like to wait till after at east one cycle, I woud like to start charting so that I know if I do ovulate before having a normal period. I looked at fertility friend, and it seems like it's basing things off of your mentrual cycle...so my question is...can I start charting with not having a normal period yet? Can I still use fertility firend?
Thanks for any help! I'm going to go buy a basal body thermometer this weekend and start charting so that I can at least get in tune with my body and maybe have a starting point if I do get pregnant before I get my period and I can have a better idea of dates for my doctor. Thankyou!

I am sure you can start with having a cycle. You of course would not get an accurate cycle analysis, (I am thinking) but you would be able to get used to taking you temp and charting. I think it would be a big help to you.

have a great day

I'd probably base day 1 off the date that you had your D&C, not 100% sure if thats when it should be done but it makes sense as its the first day that your hormones got a chance to run on their own again.

Hi Lynette,

This is my 1st month charting as well, I used the 1st day I started to m/c as the 1st day of my cycle, I would go with using the date of your D&C, I believe that would be best. I actually ovualted 3 weeks after, so I guess your body tries to right itself pretty quickly, In the beginning my temps were all over the place, but now they've seemd to calm down a bit, hope, feel free to pm anytime Oh, my chart is in my siggie if you want to take a look
