You don't know....the implantation dip is more of a hindsight type of thing. In fact, a lot of ladies have a dip around 7 to 10 days post ovulation and it isn't implantation.

If you have some spotting around 7 to 10DPO, that's a better sign, but still you don't know for sure...

Sorry

The theory of an implantation "dip" is mostly just that, a theory. It's not conclusive until the time is right for a positive test.

Hey Tiffany!

I think normally implantation dips are normally about .3 degrees. But I don't think there is a "rule" on them. It is usually a significant drop. i had mine a 8DPO and I never thought a think about it. I just figured that my temps were droping because AF was coming in a few days. I never dreamed it was implantation! BUT... I see sooo many charts that have dips and no pgs and sooo many charts that have no dips and are pg. A good example is fishysticks chart in the Sept ddc. Normally, after the baby has fully implanted, takes a couple of days, your temps will shoot higher and become triphastic. At least mine did and most charts that end in pg are.

So... good luck to you!!! You do not have to have a dip and be pg! Heck.. some of us get them and don't even know that is what it is!!! When you least expect it you will get your BFP! Then you will be wondering why you worked so hard all the other months! You will have one month where nothing will be going according to plan and you will be sure you are not pg and you will be thinking about what you will be doing differently on your next cycle.... then BAM!!! You will be preganant!!! Those are fun! It's happened to me twice already!!

Good luck!!!!

I have a question.. I have been spotting, not like blood on a pad, but just when you whip from DPO 8-11 (today) off and on.. it has not been all the time. I was wondering if this is a good sign? I have taken 3 test and they all come back BFN.. Is it too early since I am spotting? I don't know about all of this.

Thanks!

All I can say is that usually you will have another surge after you O which will cause you to get a dip, so its hard to tell if its an implantation dip or a surge dip hun.
