Hi there. I am new here and just starting out. I had a m/c in January and would like to start charting while my body is getting back to normal in the hopes of TTC in a couple of months. I would also like to use charting through out my whole life as form of BC after pregnancy.
So I got my charting paper and I'm doing the online course to learn how to do it. Last night I went out to get my Basal Body Thermometer and I couldn't find one (I went to the biggest drug store here). So my question is where do you get them and do they say Basal Body Thermometer on them? I am confused as to how they are different from a regular thermometer but I don't want to use a regular one and have my temps be wrong on my charts. Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry about your loss sweetie. (((hugs))) Glad you found us! I found mine from a drug store called CVS. They only had one and it's purple! I used a reg thermometer for the longest time and finally broke down and bought a BBT, not much different in the temps, dips, rises the bbt just measure like 97.72 where my reg would measure 97.7. So you can use the reg until you find a bbt.

My thermometer now has 97.7 on it and it is very accurate I have found in the past. So I will use that one until I can find the BBT. Thanks for the help! I am sure I will have more questions once I get started so look out!
